What is harassment?
What is discrimination?
Harassment is any offensive or
unwanted behavior based on race,
color, religion, sex (including
pregnancy, sexual orientation or
gender identity), national origin,
age, disability, genetic information
or any other legally protected
characteristic. Harassment can take
on many different forms, including
words, actions, and gestures that
create an uncomfortable or
hostile environment.
Discrimination means treating
someone unfairly or differently
based on certain legally protected
characteristics, including those
described above. For example,
refusing to hire someone just
because they are older than the
rest of the team is discrimination.
